Kota MSMEs get global push: SSI Association unveils Vision 2026-27

In a bid to position Kota as a strong MSME hub on the global map, SSI Association, Kota on Tuesday released its Vision Document for 2026-27,
outlining an ambitious and result-driven industrial roadmap for the region.Association president Deepak Mehta said the focus is to provide local industries with international exposure and competitiveness. “The governing board has rolled out a performance-oriented action plan from day one to strengthen the MSME sector,” he said.
Ease of doing business in focus
The vision document prioritises ‘ease of doing business’, proposing dedicated vice-presidents to streamline coordination between industries and government departments for faster issue resolution.
Business conclaves, global exposure lined up
To boost industrial growth, the association will organise a ‘Rajasthan Business Conclave’ in December. Sessions by motivational speakers Vivek Bindra and Harshvardhan Jain are also planned.An ‘All Women Entrepreneur Conclave’ will be held in October to promote women-led enterprises.In a major global outreach initiative, a delegation of 100 industrialists will participate in the Canton Fair in China.
AI push, ‘Shark Tank’ model for startups
The association will conduct AI awareness seminars and introduce a ‘Shark Tank’-style conclave to facilitate startup funding and mentorship.
Clear role allocation for execution
Spokesperson Sanjay Goyal said responsibilities have been assigned across departments for effective implementation. RIICO-related work will be handled by Manoj Agrawal and Ashutosh Jain, while district industries and MSME coordination will be led by Akshay Singh and Kaushal Bansal.
Kota Stone to get global branding
A focused strategy has been prepared to promote Kota Stone and sandstone in international markets through professional profiling and global marketing.Under the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative, the ‘SSI Samvad’ magazine will further support local products and industries.
